Bordighera, the outdoor kingdom

In Bordighera there are mountain bike routes accessible all year round with breathtaking views. What are you waiting for? Rent a vehicle and come and spend a relaxing weekend.

Cycling is synonymous with freedom and movement in the open air, an opportunity to look towards new horizons. On a bike you can look at reality with different eyes, observe things at their natural speed and enjoy every moment. If you need a break from the daily routine, set off on an adventure and escape into nature for a few hours on a mountain bike. Biking is an opportunity to get out in the fresh air and discover new landscapes close to your home, or even, in special places like western Liguria, which offers itineraries available all year round. In Bordighera, for example, you can afford to escape the stress of your daily life even for a simple weekend. And let’s be honest, it’s always nice to get away from it all. You will come back from your trip more relaxed than ever!

Bordighera, in addition to the sea there is an infinite hinterland

Bordighera is one of the coastal towns closest to the French border, best known for its historical centre and exotic gardens, as well as the nearby villages of Sasso and Seborga, which retain their historical centres. Give more flavour to your holiday in Bordighera, hire a vehicle and load up your mountain bike. You will discover a fantastic hinterland of trails and itineraries for experts and less experienced MTB, Freeride and Downhill riders. All this just half an hour from the sea! The many MTB routes in this area are well signposted and, above all, are available 12 months a year, excellent for cheap ‘off-season’ holidays.

For your summer holidays organise a tour of the Bicknell cycle route

A new itinerary has sprung up on the Riviera di Ponente: the Bicknell cycle route, a ring-route, which can be customised, that starts and returns to Bordighera, on the shores of the sea, to reach the peaks of the Valle delle Meraviglie in Tenda (France), then passing through Melosa (Piedmont) and returning to the sea, descending through the gentle hills of Sanremo. An itinerary of around 100 km accessible to cyclists of all levels, strictly by MTB as there are many uneven trails. A perfect opportunity for an outdoor weekend immersed in nature, on a cycle-tourist ring of unprecedented beauty, on the border between Italy and France.
